wow, 2 posts in 1 day!
These silhouettes were an assignment for Ryan's Character Design class. The little guy on the side is the original, and then the succeeding 4 are the same silhouette but with negative space blocked out with a white-out pen. The 4 themes in order are Space Woman, Witch, Butler, Construction Worker. Enjoy!
The Great Bunny Stampede of 1860
So this Fall I'm taking The Great Joe Olsen's class (he's working at Avalanche, too!), "Drawing for Animation." If you've been following for a little bit then you'll know I thoroughly enjoyed this class previously, but I had so much fun that I decided to take it again. Our opening assignment's theme was "Bunny Herders of the Endless Steppe."

A Shape Drawing!
These were my initial scribbles trying to find a cool shape. I found the little one on the bottom, then "refined" it a little bit before jumping into the one you see below.

minotaur design
Designs for a 3D class I'm taking right now, learning from the incredible Barry Zundel (from AVALANCHE!!). It's a Minotaur... like the mythological Greek monster. Not like a Tauren from Warcraft... because that would be... cool? nerdy? BOTH???

Pear Color Study!
This is a Pear. Or,
Maybe This is Not a Pear.
This is Not a Pipe.
A Photoshop quickie for a 3D Shading/Texturing class I'm in, learning from the great Seth Holladay (from PIXAR!). I think the colors came out okay, but I'm not sure... Yay for school starting...
